As your skin ages, it begins to lose collagen filled with hyaluronic acid (HA). Collagen and HA add structure and volume to the face, therefore a lack of HA causes skin to sag and wrinkle – that’s where dermal fillers can be beneficial in fighting off the aging process and improving wrinkle reduction.

Dermal fillers are smooth injectable gels containing hyaluronic acid (HA) which is a naturally occurring substance that delivers volume to the skin. Dermal fillers work in a restorative manner to replace and add volume to weakened facial features.

How long does filler last?

The results from filler injections can last for up to a year. The lifespan of filler treatment is dependent on the body part being treated. It is not a permanent solution, so the material will naturally be broken down and be reabsorbed by your body over time.

Does filler work immediately?

You will be able to see your results immediately! You may experience some minor swelling or bruising but this should resolve after a week.

What is the process like?

The procedure itself will last 15-30 minutes, depending on how many syringes are needed and which parts of your face are being treated. A typical session uses 1 or 2 syringes of filler.
